Dear friends, when someone in our family or loved ones dies, our hearts break and we suffer greatly. At this time, it is very necessary to turn to the Word of God, the Bible, because God’s Word comforts us in this time of grief.
When we read the story of Job in the Old Testament, we understand that he suffered a lot. Because he lost his children and possessions that he could not even imagine. Yet he was strong in faith and expressed his sorrow to God. Even in his sorrow, he saw the presence of God. This teaches us that even in our sorrow, we receive comfort from God.
Moreover, the Lord Jesus also felt sad when his friend Lazarus died. The Lord Jesus also could not stop crying. Later, he showed compassion to Lazarus’ loved ones when they were crying. This incident makes us believe that our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is always there to comfort us.
Finally, in such situations, we must pray. Because when we pray to Him, we will gain confidence. Always be assured that God is always watching over us. Let us support each other in this situation and share each other’s sorrows. Let us reach out to our fellow believers so that they can pray with you and encourage you through the Word.
