Dear brothers and sisters, in our lives we are bound by various chains. Be it fear, guilt, or any addiction. These chains can constantly weigh us down, making us hopeless. But dear friends, today I want to tell you that through the Lord we can find hope and freedom.
One of the many examples we see in the Bible is the story of Paul. Paul was persecuted for preaching the gospel and was eventually imprisoned. But instead of giving up, he prayed to God, and his faith paid off. While he was in prison, an earthquake shook the prison, the doors flew open, and all his chains broke. This story reminds us that God has the power to deliver us from all kinds of situations, no matter how difficult they may be.
Another example is the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. When they had been in slavery in Egypt for many years, God heard their prayers. He delivered them with his mighty hand. Even when they were escaping from there, they encountered the great Red Sea. Then God miraculously parted the Red Sea and made a road for them to cross. This story is a story of God’s immense power and the eternal liberation of his people from years of slavery.
Dear friends, the God who freed Paul and the Israelites is always with us. The Lord Jesus Christ came to break the chains of sin and death through his death on the cross and gave us eternal life as a gift. When we accept him as our Savior, we are forever freed from the chains of sin and death.
Finally, we need to continually seek God. We need to study His Word more and more and ask God for wisdom. As we continually draw close to Him, He will strengthen us and help us overcome all kinds of chains.
Dear friends, now let’s see the Bible scriptures below that talk about ‘being free from chains’.
